Official Madonna iPhone app totally cool, and totally free

Like a Twitter account, an iPhone app is a celebrity (or faux-celebrity) must-have.

Within the past year, there’s been a slew of them: Diddy’s app lets you know where he likes to eat; rapper Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em’s app lets the user remix his songs; T-Pain’s gives the gift of Auto-Tune and Britney Spears’s “It’s Britney!” app blurts out an expletive when you shake it.

Thrilling stuff, but the Material Girl’s new official iPhone app just may top them all.

With a number of features, can stay up-to-date with nearly any and everything Madonna-related. There’s a tab for news, YouTube videos, music downloads, photos (sorry, no Jesus, we checked) and even what her fans are saying about her on the fan page.

True, the “It’s Britney!” app does much of the same, but here’s the crucial difference: Spears’s app is selling for $1.99 while Madonna’s is completely free.

New Dolce&Gabbana Ads

The new spring 2010 Dolce&Gabbana campaign features Madonna and is a throwback to Italian living.  The ads show Madonna’s human side and are candid in nature.  Madonna engages in common household tasks such as washing dishes, preparing dinner and sweeping the floor.  Absolutely sexy.

Jesus ‘dumps’ Madonna

Material Girl Madonna has been dumped by her toyboy lover Jesus Luz, it has emerged.

The Brazilian underwear model called off their relationship over age and busy schedule issues, reports The Daily Star.

Newspaper Chicago Sun-Times alleges, “It not only was totally amicable, but it was Luz who initiated the split.

“Apparently, the 23-year-old Brazilian realized their age difference (she’’s 51) and overall lack of mutual interests nixed a long-term relationship.”

Madonna started seeing Luz after they met at a December 2008 photoshoot for W magazine.

Just weeks before the singer had finalized her divorce with director Guy Ritchie.

21 Days & The Grammy's

It’s Sunday and that means the Grammy’s are on tonight!

I have been watching the Grammy pre-show event on the internet tonight as I prepare to see the prime-time show later. I’ve been to the Grammy’s….once, the time I attended it was in New York City. It was interesting, but it was clear to me from my experience that the best way to attend the Grammy’s was as a nominee. So, I have not been back in person, instead, enjoying the show from home and working on my music.

Now, as a little girl, I used to watch the Grammy’s. I remember watching Barbra Streisand, hearing her sing and wondering how to get there from here….here being my living room, sitting with my mother and other family members. This was more than living room entertinment to me. This was my dream unfolding before my eyes on the television screen. To be able to sing, sing for a global audience and also be recognized with that oh-so-cool award, now that was bliss. I would watch the Grammy’s awards every year, unless I just forgot about it. I have enjoyed, over the years, seeing performers like Madonna, Bee Gees, Elton John, Phil Collins, Michael Jackson….I’ve seen them … enjoyed them … wanted to be them..or at least be doing what they were doing.

I have spent my entire life learning the steps necessary to win a Grammy,..First, you need to be nominated, before that you need to be submitted, before that, you need to write and record and distribute and album, before that you need to find a good producer who knows what to do with your music and your voice, before that, you need to try to write some songs, before that you need to be singing and performing all the time, before that, you need to learn what orgnaizations are around to help you, before that, you need to love music and before that, and most important of all, you need to believe you can do it.

i’m a believer.
